Misguided Arkansas Law Will Result In Less Pharmacy Access And Increased Costs

HELP AMPLIFYAWARENESS

In April, Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed Act 624 into law, which – if implemented as planned on January 1, 2026 – could force the closure of specific pharmacies in Arkansas and impact many others. This misguided law will leave Arkansans with higher prices and scrambling to find a new way to get their medications and associated clinical care. Many patients will no longer be able to receive prescriptions, including specialty medications, in the mail. It will also disrupt care for hundreds of women undergoing fertility treatments and thousands of Arkansans living with complex, chronic, or life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, and rheumatoid arthritis.

If the Arkansas state government does not take action to stop this flawed law before January, pharmacy and medication access could be significantly impacted.

Make your voice heard today and tell Gov. Sanders and your state legislators to stop Act 624 before it’s too late.
